A safe and secure facility providing coordinated advocacy and government services for those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and elder abuse.

Our Mission

Our mission is to serve the needs of people impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and elder abuse through a sustained continuum of services, delivering integrated, comprehensive, and client-driven options that will empower survivors to find hope and restoration in their lives.

The Prince George’s County Family Justice Center provides services through a client-centered and survivor-driven approach. As such, the focus is on advocacy, legal support, social services (health and welfare), and basic support (medical assistance, clothing and transportation). Criminal justice services are also offered through law enforcement partners. The immediate outcome is an increase in services and safety to individual survivors and their families.

SAFE Connections Empowerment Program

The SAFE Connections Empowerment Program is an innovative intiative that helps teens build healthy relationships, understand boundaries, and develop skills for safety, confidence, and positive decision-making. 

Stay In Touch Program

The Stay In Touch Program provides ongoing support and connection for participants. It ensures regular check-ins and access to resources. The program fosters a sense of community and continuity.

VOICES Chapter

The VOICES Chapter empowers individuals by amplifying their stories and experiences. It provides a platform for advocacy, support, and community building. The chapter fosters resilience and solidarity among its members.

Camp Hope

Camp HOPE America is the first evidence-based camping and mentoring program in the United States to focus on children and teens exposed to domestic violence. Our mission is to give youth a brighter future by creating pathways to hope and healing.

In addition to our management team, the Family Justice Center is powered by an incredible group of frontline staff — three full-time advocates, one part-time advocate, one full-time receptionist, one part-time receptionist, and our dedicated transit driver. Each member of our team plays a vital role in creating a space of safety, compassion, and hope for every individual and family we serve.
